Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Pleasant Valley

A collision claimed the life of an 18 year old Poughkeepsie man Saturday evening. 

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday, state police investigated a fatal two car collision on State Route 44 and the Taconic State Parkway.

The initial investigation suggests an eastbound vehicle on State Route 44 made a left hand turn to enter the Taconic State Parkway on-ramp in front of a westbound vehicle.

Nolan Evanicki, 18, of Poughkeepsie was extricated by Pleasant Valley Fire Department and pronounced deceased dead at the the scene.

State Police were assisted on the scene by the Pleasant VAlley Fire Department and Mobile Life Ambulance.

The investigation is ongoing.
