A Hudson Valley man was arrested on identity theft charges, while picking up items ordered with stolen credit card at Wal-Mart. 

State Police received a complaint of Identity Theft from a Montgomery resident. It was determined that a fraudulent charge had been made on the Montgomery resident credit card.

An investigation revealed that a fraudulent purchase of a lap top computer was made online and the product was being shipped to the Wal-Mart in Newburgh. State Troopers contacted security at Wal-Mart, and they apprehended the suspect when he came to pick up the computer.

Michael N. Sep, age 59, of Brewster, NY was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, and Identity Theft in the second-degree.

Sep was arraigned in the Mongomery barracks and released with appearance tickets. He is due back in court in early November to answer to the charges.
