Police: Hudson Valley Man Killed 7-Week-Old Son

A Hudson Valley man has been charged by police with killing his 7-week-old son.

ABC News reports that a Middletown man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his son. The 7-week-old child died in August at Westchester Medical Center from complications associated with a brain injury.

Just two weeks later, the child's father, Michael Heil, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The charges were made after Middletown Police and the Orange County District Attorney launched an investigation. Authorities have been looking into the child's death for the past two weeks, after police were called to Heil's home for an "unresponsive person" on August 22.

The 26-year-old man is being held without bail at Orange County Jail.
