Lloyd Police say a Saugerties man was discovered in a parked car with a whole slew of drugs and weapons and is now facing felony charges. A Saugerties man is facing a felony charge after he was found parked in a car with a slew of items that included smoke grenades, about 30 knives and a police billy club, along with heroin, cocaine and marijuana, Lloyd police say.

The Times Herald Record reports that 43 year-old Jason Hinchey was arrested Sunday after police found him at Berean Park after hours. Police say Hinchey had smoke grenades, about 30 knives of various sizes, a police billy club, bandannas, gloves, three BB guns, handcuffs, a holster, a police flashlight and billy club and $1,500 in cash. He also reportedly had heroin, cocaine and marijuana, according to police.

Police say Hinchey also had three badges: A New York City Probation Officer badge, a toy sheriff's badge and a small New York Police Department badge. Police say the billy club and daggers are illegal to possess, but it's unclear why he had all the items.

Hinchey is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, a misdemeanor heroin-possession charge and a marijuana possession charge, a violation. He was arraigned and sent to Ulster County jail without bail.
