Police: Felony Charges For Man Driving Impaired by Drugs

A report of an erratic driver on the Taconic State Parkway, resulted in felony charges for one man. 

As if the Taconic State Parkway isn't dangerous enough, you have stupid people like this driving on it.

State Troopers from the Stormville barracks responded to the park and ride on Route 52 to investigate an erratically operated vehicle reported traveling on Taconic State Parkway northbound.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Stephen R. Roberts, 28, of Poughquag, New York was impaired at the time of the traffic stop.

Roberts was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Class E Felony. Roberts was charged with Felony DWAI drugs due to a prior DWI related conviction from 2009.

Roberts was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court at a later date.
