A Wappingers man is behind bars following an altercation with his landlord. 

On January 9, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m. troopers were dispatched for a report of a stabbing on Degarmo Hills Road.

Troopers arrived at the scene and located the victim and the suspect. The suspect was identified as Nathan B. Lee, 25, of Wappingers.

Lee was taken into custody without incident. Medical treatment was provided to both the victim and Lee.

A preliminary investigation found that Lee stabbed his landlord several times with a kitchen knife. Lee resides in the same house as his landlord.

Lee was taken to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in stable condition. The victim was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, also in stable condition.

Lee was charged with Assault second-degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon fourth-degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Wappingers Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, or $40,000 bond.
