State police have arrested the dean of students at a Hudson Valley community college on charges of theft.

State Police from the Liberty barracks have arrested John F. Agnelli, 42 of Loch Sheldrake for Theft. Agnelli is the Dean of Students at Sullivan County Community College.

Agnelli was arrested after it was determined that he used a college credit card to charge more than $9,000 in personal expenses. Agnelli was arrested on Friday March, 3, 2017.

John F. Agnelli was charged with Grand Larceny in the third-degree, a felony. He was arraigned and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Sullivan County Community College was founded in 1962, and is a two-year public community college located in Lake Sheldrake, in Fallsburgh, NY.

Notable graduates of Sullivan County Community College are Gene Simmons from Kiss, and David Berkowitz, the serial killer dubbed as "Son of Sam".
