The Times Herald Record reports that authorities arrested six people in a drug raid that spanned four locations Thursday morning. Police said the largest bust at a single location was 240 bags of heroin, seized in the Town of Wallkill.

The operation began at around 5:00 am Thursday morning. Law enforcement reportedly seized drugs, including heroin, crack cocaine and ecstasy, as well as three guns in the course of the operation.

According to Middletown police, the operation involved a joint task force comprised of Middletown officers, state police, Orange County sheriff’s personnel and the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force.

In Middletown, police said they arrested two people at a Commonwealth Avenue address: Matthew Green, 31, and Gabrielle Whitby, 23. Both were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Police said they had 43 bags of heroin.

Also in Middletown, police arrested Shumare Davis, 30, and Jerrel Priest, 31, at a Harrison Street address. Both were charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Davis and Priest had 98 bags of heroin, plus crack cocaine and Ecstasy.

In the Town of Wallkill, police moved on a location on Excelsior Avenue, and arrested Robert Whitby, 52. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Whitby had 240 bags of heroin, police said. Also in the Town of Wallkill, police arrested Darryl Stevens, at an Anthony Street address. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said he had one and a half grams of crack cocaine.
