Police arrested a teenager they say is connected to a shooting outside a Newburgh bar that injured three. He was later found to be in possession of an assortment of drugs.

City of Newburgh Police arrested 19-year-old Skyler Davis, of Newburgh on charges stemming from the shooting that took place on Saturday May 21 outside the 845 Lounge at 778 Broadway in Newburgh.

On the morning of the shootings, a 21-year-old male was shot in the lower back, 26-year-old female the leg, and 19-year-old male the shoulder. All 3 suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Davis was spotted near 295 Liberty Street. As authorities approached he allegedly fled the scene. He was soon located and arrested.

Follow his arrest police allegedly recovered, 30 decks of heroin, nearly 6 grams of marijuana, drug packaging material, and a digital scale.

Davis was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Davis is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday. His bail status was not released.

Police would not say how Davis is connected to the shootings. Their investigation is ongoing and no other information is available at this time. Anyone with information is urged to call City of Newburgh Police at 845-561-3131.
