Police Arrest Bearded Woman After Alleged Stabbing

One of the year's most bizarre news stories comes as we wind down 2015.

San Diego, CA police say they arrested a woman described as weighing nearly 400 pounds with a beard. The woman allegedly stabbed a man in the neck after he simply asked her for a cigarette, according to NBC New York.

Police say they made the arrest Thursday night

SD Police officer Robert Heims told the San Diego Union-Tribune that the 39-year-old victim had approached the woman, who was in a group, and asked them for a cigarette Wednesday evening.

Authorities say the bearded woman told the man to get away before stabbing him and running away. No motive has been given for the stabbing.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries. He is expected to survive.
