An ambulance is not a taxi service. Apparently, one Saugerties woman never got this memo.

Police say they arrested a Saugerties woman who called an ambulance for a ride to Kingston to see her boyfriend.

The Times Herald Record reports that 28 year-old Cassandra Lewis is facing charges of falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor.

Saugerties police say Lewis called 911 reporting a medical emergency on Friday and was taxied to Kingston by Diaz Memorial Ambulance Service. According to the Times Herald, Lewis signed herself out of the hospital shortly after arrival.

Lewis has yet to be arraigned and is out on bail. She's due back in court on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m
