Kingston Police Officer Shoots Man at Kingston Plaza

The Times Herald Record reports that an unidentified man was shot by a Kingston cop after the man reportedly pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the officer. The incident was said to have occurred late Thursday night. The man is currently in Albany Medical Center. The condition of the person shot is unknown at this point.

The officer was responding to a report of a burglary in progress at the Chase Bank in the plaza, says the Times Herald Record.

Kingston Police have turned the investigation of the incident over to State Police.
