Stories like this have become all too familiar this year.

Sandi Maddock of Warwick is suffering the loss of her two dogs...an 11 year old and 15 year old (both mixed breeds), after they were left in the car by their pet sitter, on July 21. Maddock tells police that the woman told her she accidently left the dogs in the car after she had come home from shopping. After arriving home, the woman claims she got distracted and forgot the two dogs were still in the car. Temps that day reached 86F degress, which can easily make the inside of a parked car feel like it's over 100F..

While Maddock says she doesn't want to press charges, police say they are still investigating

You probably heard about this video from a few weeks ago...but a Texas police officer wanted to demonstrate the deadly effects the inside of a car can have on a human or pet, during the hot summer months. If you haven't seen this, take a few minutes and give it a watch....and please stop leaving your pets and kids in your cars.
