A plane crash claimed the life of a pilot near the border of Orange County, New York and Sussex County, New Jersey.

The Times Herald is reporting that wreckage from the Cessan 210 was found at about 11 a.m. Thursday, in Wantage Township, NJ.

New Jersey State Police said the New York Civil Air Patrol found the wreckage in a heavily wooded area. The unidentified pilot's body was inside the plane.

Major Bill Martin, the Civil Air Patrol's incident commander, said the plane more than likely hit the tree line while trying to land.
