Wintery conditions across New York state caused a massive pile-up on westbound I-88 Sunday. Newschannel 34 is reporting that the accident involved fifteen vehicles, including three tractor trailers and a tour bus.

Police say the accident occurred when a SUV struck a tractor trailer due to blizzard-like conditions in central New York. Both vehicles had come to rest when an Adirondack Trailways bus then hit the tractor trailer. The bus was said to have been carrying twenty passengers.

It wasn't over yet.

A second and third tractor-trailer, along with several additional passenger vehicles then collided with the vehicles involved.

The crash closed the Interstate until 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The good news is that no one was killed. Several passengers on the bus and a truck driver were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
