In an epic "Battle of the Stands" WPDH listeners helped the Boris & Robyn Show raise over $12,000 to help kids who are fighting childhood cancer.

After lots of trash talking and dirty tricks this ugly competition raised well over $12,000.

Alex's Lemonade Stand is one of the only charities that directly benefits children who are fighting cancer. It's such a worthy cause that we took to the streets last summer to try and raise some money to help them out. At the end of the summer we were very proud to have raised just over $10,000. This year, we wanted to do more so we turned our campaign into a "Battle of the Stands."

With competing lemonade stands set up at the Dutchess County Fair for just six hours, WPDH listeners had a choice of donating to Team Boris or Team Robyn. After lots of trash talking and dirty tricks this ugly competition raised well over $12,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

High level donations from our friends at Hudson Cadillac Buick GMC, Little NY Pretzels, Handsome Devil Barbecue, Zimmer Brothers Jewelers, Trailer King, Moroney's Cycles, Elia's Texas Barbecue and more helped both teams surpass their goal in just six hours.

Watch the video below to see who raised more... Was it the over-confident Team Boris or the Hudson Valley sweetheart, Team Robyn?
