The news only gets worse for new York Giants fans.

Not only did the Giants fall to the previously winless Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, but it looks like they could be whiteout Odell Beckham Jr. for quite some time.

It looked like Big Blue had this won. Beckham had just scored ealry in the fourth to put New York ahead. Then, everything went downhill.

ESPN says that with about four minutes left, Odell Beckham Jr. landed wrong on his ankle after going up for a pass. Keep in mind, the Giants had already seen Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard, and Dwayne Harris all go down hurt earlier in the same game. Beckham landed horribly wrong on his left ankle and would have to be carried off the field.

It's usually a very bad sign when the opposing team are the first ones calling for medic assistance after a play.

Then quarterback Eli Manning fumbled on the very next play. Before you knew it, the Chargers had the ball and would score a few plays later. L.A. would go ahead 27-22 for the win.

The Giants remain winless at 0-5. Unless they go on a serious run, it looks like their playoff hopes could already be in serious doubt. They'll travel to Denver next Sunday to face the Broncos.
