Jim Kowalczik and his wife, Susan, run the nonprofit Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville. According to the Times Herald, the Kowalczik's have used the sanctuary for over two decades to care for injured wildlife.

Now, the 59 year-old retired correction officer and his wife are gaining a lot of attention thanks to a viral video of Jimbo, one of the eleven bears who lives at the couple's rehabilitation center.

Jimbo has lived at the center since he was a four month old cub. The video shows the now 21 year-old, 1,500 pound bear playfully nudging Jim Kowalczik much like the family dog. Of course, Jimbo is much larger than any dog. Kowalczik isn't the least bit worried.

They look forward to playing with us — but they’re not going to play with Susan the way they play with me, and they’re not going to play with me the way they wrestle with each other. They understand the difference. That’s the trust, and that’s the respect.
