A man from Oregon admitted that he ran a large marijuana growing operation out of a home in the Hudson Valley.

On Wednesday, 40-year-old John G. Koukouras of Eugene, O.R., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana.

According to court documents and statements made in court, in the summer of 2017, Koukouras and an unnamed person from Connecticut used a home on Guernsey Hill Road in Lagrangeville to grow, process and sell marijuana.

On July 26, 2017, investigators executed a federal search warrant at the Dutchess County home and seized 140 marijuana plants and equipment used to grow, process and sell marijuana.

Koukouras was arrested in Oregon on September 14, 2017. At the time of his arrest, he possessed an additional approximately 50 marijuana plants and equipment used to grow and process marijuana, officials say.

Koukouras was released after posting $25,000 bond. He faces up to five years in prison when sentenced in February.
