An Orange County was arrested for allegedly causing multiple physical injuries to his 8-month-old son.

State Police arrested 25-year-old Alban Rowe, of Walden following a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline. The Orange County Child Abuse Unit conducted the investigation in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services Child Protective Services.

Police say their investigation revealed that while caring for his baby, on Sunday, Rowe caused physical injuries to several areas of his son’s body. The child’s mother brought her son to the hospital after seeing the injuries.

The hospital staff contacted the Child Abuse Hotline.

Rowe was charged with 2nd-degree assault, a class D felony and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Rowe was arraigned in the Village of Walden Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 Cash $2,500 secured bond.

An order of protection was issued.

The Orange County Child Abuse Unit is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Village of Goshen Police, City of Port Jervis Police and Orange County Sheriff's Office.
