Orange County Executive Arts, Heritage, and Tourism Grants Announced

Organizations in Orange County were encouraged to submit grant proposals  for any programs, projects, or events that would promote tourism and/or economic development as well as be open to everyone in the community. The deadline for these applications was last December and, after careful review, the winners have been announced.

Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus, today announced the winners of the 2016-2017 County Executive Arts, Heritage and Tourism grant program. A total of 25 awards were announced with amounts ranging up to $4200.

Winners included both organizations and individuals throughout Orange County for their proposals as to how they plan on making positive contributions to their communities that will also help the local economies.

The largest award was $4,200 awarded to to Newburgh resident Isaac Diggs for his project “Home Sweet Home: Paul Rudolph’s Government Center Transformed,” an exhibition of original photographs, archival imagery and text.

The twenty-four remaining awards went to a variety of projects such as The Warwick Summer Arts Festival, Highland Falls Artwalk, Hudson Valley Jazz Festival, and others. See the complete list here.
