Yahoo news reported on Monday that Pro Wrestler 'Iron' Mike Sharpe passed away at the age of 64. He was known as 'Canada's Greatest Athlete.

According to the UPROXX article at Yahoo news, Sharpe had been dealing with a number of heath issues. Sharpe was one of the most recognizable "enhancement talents" in wrestling history, known for wearing his black forearm guard (which he'd use to hurt his opponents), and always being on the losing end of matches. He started off his career in 1977, making a name for himself NWA All Star Wrestling. He joined the WWF in 1983 and had initial success being managed by Captain Lou Albano, and challenging Bob Backlund for the WWF Championship.

Growing up watching wrestling as a kid throughout the 80's and attending live matches at Mid Hudson Civic Center, you couldn't miss him. He had a polarizing presence. He will certainly missed. R.I.P. "Canada's Greatest Athlete".
