Ok Beer fans, get ready to start your engines. (Oh wait, that's something different.) If you like beer and food and love learning more about both, the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has an all day "Beer U" that you will want to go ahead and get your diploma in.

This special type of "learning" will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 at The Egg at the Culinary Institute of America's campus. During the course of the day, you will be able to sample beers from local breweries paired with dishes made at the CIA.

Also included in the price of your ticket (they are referring to this on the ciachef.edu website as your syllabus, includes the opportunity to attend lectures on other topics, including making cocktails with beers, pairing foods with beers and more information on what makes sour beers different, just to name a few.

Tickets in advance range from $25 for a designated driver ticket to $65 for the VIP treatment. If you choose to wait until the day of to purchase your tickets, then expect the VIP Ticket to cost $80 and the designated driver ticket to cost $40.
