The Pine Plains Lady Bombers basketball team is now 2 wins away from their first ever state title after defeating Pierson/Bridgehampton High School from Suffolk County 45 to 35 in their Class C Regional Championship game at Mt. St. Mary College in Newburgh on Friday night.  Pine Plains had never made it past a sectional final in the history of the girls program – and that came last season after a 30-year wait, losing to Tri-Valley last year at SUNY New Paltz.  The Bombers will be going for a state title starting Saturday March 21st at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy at 2:15 p.m.  If they win they will play for a state title on Sunday also at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.  Our friends at hudsonvalleysportsreport.com have video and more on the Lady Bombers.
