The Ferguson grand jury decision to not charge Officer Darren WIlson has lead to widespread protests across the country, including one right in Times Square. NYPD Commissioner William Bratton and several aides were sprayed with blood red paint last night during the protest as they stood near the Crossroads of the World. 26 year old Diego Ibanez was indentified as the assailant and was quickly taken into custody. He now faces a number of charges including assault on a police officer, obstruction of government administration, disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief, according to police. The Commissioner was not harmed. See pics HERE

The protests began in Union Square before the St. Louis County prosecutor announced the grand jury decision, and continued into the early hours of Tuesday. Hundreds later marched across the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Triborough Bridges.
