Hudson Valley drivers should factor in extra travel time if they're passing through the Arlington area of Poughkeepsie in late October and early November.

The New York Department of Transportation (NYDOT) will close sections of Route 44 and Route 55 for maintenance work for the overpass near their intersection, according to a press release from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

From Monday, Oct. 27 through Monday, Nov. 10, Route 44 eastbound will be closed between Fairmont Avenue and the Main Street merge. Motorist will be detoured onto Route 55 and directed to the Burnett Boulevard intersection.

From Tuesday, Nov. 11 through Wednesday, Nov. 26, Main Street will be closed between Fairmont Avenue and the Route 44 merge. Eastbound motorist will be detoured onto Fairmont Avenue, according to the police department.
