Two teens, aged 16 and 18 were arrested after leading police on a short pursuit in a stolen vehicle.

on September, 9, 2018, troopers observed a 2017 Honda Civic traveling southbound on State Route 9H at a high rate of speed, in the Town of Claverack, after fleeing the area of a suspicious vehicle complaint.

The occupants led troopers on a three-mile pursuit before striking a guide rail on Route 82 in the Town of Livingston. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot and were apprehended shortly thereafter.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen out of New York City.

The occupants of the vehicle, identified as Alicides Czetto, 18, and a 16 year old, both of Brooklyn, New York were both charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property third-degree (felony).

The 16-year old was additionally charged with Reckless Endangerment first-degree (felony),and Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer.

Both teens were arraigned in the Claverack Town Court, and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, or $30,000 bond. Both are due back in court later this week.
