Good hair is important. Especially when you're 20 year-old Cheryl Lynn. The Utica woman is in custody after police say she allegedly stabbed another woman who gave Lynn what she thought was a bad hairdo.

Police say a confrontation started between the two woman at a house party on April 22. Cheryl Lynn had argued with the hairdresser about receiving a refund for the bad hair job. The two women left the party, only to clash again later on the street. The argument turned physical at that point, as police say Lynn stabbed the other woman in the neck, shoulder and chest.

Police say Lynn was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. She's being held in the Oneida County
