Watch your speed!  New York State Police are running an enforcement detail that targets speeders across the state. The “Speed Week” ticket campaign runs through Wednesday, reports the Times Herald Record. Speeding by all vehicle types will be heavily enforced throughout the week, in addition to normal year-round enforcement, police said.

Also, police will target seatbelt use, as well as the 'Move Over' law. NY's 'Move Over' law requires motorists to move over whenever approaching a vehicle on the shoulder or in a lane of travel that is displaying red, white, blue and/or amber lights.

Troopers will be using both marked and unmarked patrol cars during the campaign. Last year's Speed Week campaign, which ran from Aug. 6-12, 2014, saw troopers issue more than 22,000 tickets statewide.
