NY State Man Pleads Guilty To Punching Out Clown

There's a really bad joke in here somewhere.

A man accused of assaulting another man last year has plead guilty. Police say 24 year-old Cody Santalucia punched Ray Felix in the face on November 1, 2014. The blow knocked Felix out, according to CBS Albany. Felix is an art gallery director in Troy who happened to be dressed as a clown for Halloween at the time of the attack.

Santalucia can be seen on surveillance doing pushups before jumping up and punching Felix in the face. Police say Santalucia was later captured on December 28, after taunting law enforcement through social media. Rensselaer County District Attorney Joel Abelove said that Santalucia pleaded guilty to Misdemeanor Assault. Santalucia will be sentenced to nine months in Rensselaer County Jail, issued a full stay away order of protection and ordered to pay restitution to the victim. He is due back in court on October 5th.

Felix was treated for a fractured jaw and received staples to close wounds in his head. He has since also had to have extensive dental work.
