Mastic, NY - A New York man is claiming that a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend's name ended up costing him his job.

Kirk Soccorso, is claiming that his ex-girlfriend's name was ISIS. He worked as a tool demonstrator at home depot in Patchogue, NY.

Soccorso, showed his tattoo of the word 'ISIS' on the inside of his bottom lip to his co-workers. Following that, he says that the store and company paying him told him not to return.

Soccorso claims he is not a terrorist, and feels he is being treated unfairly. He said: "I honestly didn't know what the acronym meant until just recently...I was just making conversation. I overheard the word. I didn't realize." He is considering filing a lawsuit, as reported by CBS 6.

A spokesman for Home Depot said the decision to terminate the man was not based on his tattoo.
