Frustration mounted for Jets fans Sunday after a dissapointing 24 -17 loss to the Detroit Lions. The loss was the Jets' third in a row, and it marked another less than stellar performance from quaterback Geno Smith. Smith, like many in the Jets organization, has probably heard their fair share of abuse from the media and hecklers, but Smith snapped under the pressure and fired back at one abusive fan in particular. Smith wouldn't share what the heckler was saying, as he was meeting with the media during the post game press conferance, but he claims it had nothing to do with backup QB, Michael Vick. More than a few Jets fans at MetLife have been heard chanting for Vick to start over the struggling Smith. This became the case Sunday during the second half of the game.

Geno has since apologized for his outburst.

I want to apologize if any kid saw me saying any negative remarks walking off the field. I kind of let my temper get the best of me in that situation. It's part of my learning process. I have to get better with that. I have to let that stuff roll off my back, but today I didn't do well with that.
