The New York State Bridge Authority has a new way to eliminate weeds on the Walkway Over the Hudson. Goats. The Bridge Authority has enlisted the help of Green Goats of Rhinebeck to get rid of the weeds growing where the Walkway is over land, says the Times Herald Record.

Herbicides and other chemicals are prohibited that close to the Hudson.

Using goats in this manner is nothing new. They've been used for centuries to clear land, however the practice has seen a resurgence in the United States since the 1990s.
