Menelik Watson of the Oakland Raiders has done something completely selfless and awesome for a sick little girl and her family.

The Oakland Raiders were visited recently by Ava Urrea, who is 4-year old who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which affect normal blood flow to the heart. This poor girl has had to go through 14 surgeries so far, but she got to hang with the team last week, and received a whole bunch of goodies including: a signed helmet among other things.

This was put together through Touchdown Dreams children's charity, which is run by Fox Sport's Jay Glazer.

But, the event wasn't enough for Menelik Watson, and he decided to take it to the next level. He pulled the girl's father aside and told him that he wanted to donate a week's pay to their family.

Now, what is a week's pay for an NFL player? Well, Watson's salary this year is $622,948 for the season. Now to break that down to a weekly amount, we're talking about $37,000 before taxes. Taking taxes into account, it will end up being roughly $18,000 that will go to the Ava's family.

This is truly a selfless act from an athlete. The Raiders ended up winning the game against Buffalo this Sunday while Ava was in attendance.
