Here's a heartbreaking video of news Anchor Larry Stogner of ABC's North Carolina station WTVD announcing that he has ALS and is retiring after 40 years. ALS (also know as Lou Gehrig's disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal chord. My family was affected by this disease in recent years with the passing of our beloved Uncle Vinny. Each year we participate in the Walk to Defeat ALS in Vinny's memory.
