A 48-year-old Newburgh man was arrested on Route 84 in Fishkill after police found him traveling 20 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Troopers were originally dispatched after there was a report of an erratic driver on the Taconic State Parkway.By the time police caught up with the car, it was on Route 84. In addition to the slow speed, Hudson Valley News Network reports that the vehicle was also unable to stay in its lane.

After the car was pulled over, police say the driver appeared to be intoxicated. A breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol content of .19%, which is over two times thelegal llimit.. The Times Herald Record says that Lionel G. Lucas, 48, of Newburgh was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending an appearance in Town of East Fishkill Court.
