A 19-year old woman is being charged with the murder of a 5-year old boy who was in her care.

According to the Albany County Sheriff's the girl told them that two men in ski masks abducted the boy Thursday, while they pinned her down. There was an Amber Alert sent out Thursday, for Kenneth White, 5,  after his caretaker said he was abducted from their Albany area home.

Tiffany VanAlstyne is being charged with second-degree murder after her kidnapping story began to no add up. Kenneth's body was discovered hours after the Alert had been sent out, and his body was intentionally covered with snow.

VanAlstyne is currently in police custody. She is the daughter of Kenneth's legal guardians. According to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, the boy was strangled in what he calls a "Senseless death", he also added that the child was "Thrown away like a piece of trash".

The boy's body was discovered by a sheriff K-9  who was conducting a search. The location was across from where the boy lived. The boy's mother lives elsewhere in New York, and his father lives in Massachusetts.

This is a terrible situation, and it shocked the community, as it is a very close knit town, where everybody knows everybody.

I really hope that this girl pays for her crime.
