New York Woman Accused of Killing Man in Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley woman is accused of killing a man in the local area shortly after Thanksgiving.
On Sunday, the New York State Police and Village of Catskill Police, with the assistance of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and Greene County District Attorney’s Office, announced a Castkskill woman was arrested following an investigation into a homicide.
On Saturday around 12:30 a.m., members of the Catskill Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a stabbing at 39 West Bridge Street, in the village of Catskill.
Upon arrival, they located the resident of the apartment, 68-year-old Scott O. Myers who was suffering from a stab wound.
Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and Myers succumbed to his injuries at the scene, police say.
Carrie Weisser, 32, of Catskill was charged with second-degree murder, a felony.

Weiser and Myers knew each other, according to police. Police did not release more details about their relationship.
Weiser was arraigned before Justice William R. Jacobs at the Town of Catskill Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.
The case is still under investigation.
