Another day, and another town in the state of New York has banned something.

Now, sitting around on the sidewalk can get you fined.

NBC NY reports that the Saratoga Springs City Council voted 4-1 to pass a law that would fine anyone $50 to $100 who sits or lies on a sidewalk after a warning is issued.

The Saratoga Springs City Council says the ruling comes after a number of issues with aggressive panhandlers. The Council says that public safety is the number one priority.

Others oppose the bill, saying it unfairly targets the homeless.

How do you feel about his? Do you think it imposes on peoples' personal freedoms, or is the city simply trying to protect the public, as well as local businesses?
