The wait is over. The Giants have a new coach.

The NY Daily News is reporting that the Giants signed Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to a five year deal Monday.

He'll be formally introduced to the media by the team Friday.

Hopefully, for Giants fans his new team will fare better than his old one. While the Vikings 13-3 in the regular season, they were blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship 38-7.

Shurmur's only head coaching experience was with Cleveland from 2011-12 where he finished with a 9-23 record. Shurmur replaces Ben McAdoo who was fired December 4.
