The Giants may have lost to Philadelphia Thursday night, but they've still made it into the playoff picture for the first time in five years.

Funny thing was they didn't even have to play Saturday. It was actually a Tampa Bay loss to New Orleans that helped seal a Big Blue trip to the postseason.

The last time Giants were in the playoffs, they ended up Super Bowl champions.

The Giants (10-5) must play their regular season finale next Sunday on New Year's Day in Washington, but they at least can do so without any potential pressure to have to win to get in. They already had that chance to seal a playoff berth at Lincoln Financial Field and failed.

First year Head Coach Ben McAdoo has lead the team to a 10-5 record, including a six game win streak during the middle of the season. Plus, they're the only team in the NFL to have beaten Dallas so far this season. Not once, but twice.

They also went 7-1 at home at MetLife Stadium.

Their final regular season game will be New Year's Day in Washington.

The big question is will injuries and a lagging offense eventually end their run in the post season? We'll have to wait and see. After all, there were very few people that actually thought the team had a chance in the 2011 playoffs, and look where they got.
