Just hours after its unveiling, The Joker roller coaster at Six Flags in New Jersey was shut down after two riders got stuck.

The riders got stuck in one of the coasters cars due to an equipment malfunction. The initial launch only lasted a few rides before the incident happened. A maintenance team spent hours trying to fix the ride and free the riders. The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. and the ride was finally closed down at 3:30 p.m.

According to NJ.com, officials said that one of the coasters cars got stuck due to an issue with the coaster's dampeners, which control the car's ability to flip throughout the course of the ride. There not been any issues with the coaster during any other test rides.

The ride is expected to reopen on Friday.
