The design of a soon-to-be-replaced bridge in the Hudson Valley is being left up to you.

When Kingston was given the task of coming up with just the right bridge, the city decided to leave it up to its residents by opening up an online vote on their Facebook page. Four renderings of possible bridge designs are available on the page, with the community encouraged to comment on their favorites.

The Greenkill Avenue Bridge, which crosses over Broadway in Midtown, was the site of last year's ArtBridge exhibition. Emerging artists in the Kingston area were invited to submit original works of contemporary art to adorn the bridge. The selected artists had their artwork displayed on the Greenkill, as well as the Broadway bridge in midtown. They also received $500.

With the impending replacement of the Greenkill Avenue Bridge, there's no word if the ArtBridge competition will return. But from the looks of the renderings, the overpass may wind up being a work of art in its own right.

Residents have until Friday afternoon to have their input in the new design. Which one do you think looks best?
