Heavy thunderstorms rolled though parts of New York state again on Tuesday. Parts of the Capitol Region saw some of the most severe  weather. The National Weather Service confirmed that a small tornado hit the town of Scotia on Tuesday afternoon. The National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF-0 with winds up to 80 mph.

WRGB CBS 6 in Albany reports that the roof of a storage facility was ripped off and several trees were knocked over. No injuries were reported. Several hundred customers lost power for serval hours after the storm.

Wednesday will bring warmer but calmer weather across the region. There is a chance for more storms by Friday night into Saturday, with temperatures approaching 90 F.
