A Saratoga county man was sentenced to six months in prison and five years probation for torching another man's $28,000 Subaru.

It all went down in July 2015 at the Saratoga County Fair, when one of the pyro's buddies stole a Scooby Doo stuffed animal from a concession stand. A firefighter witnessed the theft and decided to step in. An altercation ensued, and when it was all over - the stuffed animal thief was charged and the toy was rightfully returned to the stand.

Of course, the story doesn't end there.

During the scuffle, the firefighter had dropped the keys to his ride. One of the four young men involved in the fight had taken the keys. They would later return to the fairgrounds, find the car, and then light it on fire.

Police say 23 year-old Jared Jeremias was the one who started the fire. He'll now spend the next six months in jail. His friend who stole the Scooby Doo doll, Devin Chapman, along with John Flewelling and Jon Goldsmith were charged with third-degree grand larceny of a motor vehicle and third-degree arson, according to the NY Daily News.
