My Lost Treasure: Tom Waits (For Coop)

Our theme right now on My Lost Treasure is old and/or new.  Ol' will also work.  Today's lost treasure is a good ol' song.  When I first thought of using it on My Lost Treasure, I was not sure if I wanted to use this original version or The version from The Eagles.  Both are really good.  I played The Eagles yesterday, so the original version it is.

I became more familiar with Tom Waits after I met my coworker and later to be radio partner, Mark Cooper.  Coop loved Tom Waits, so I listened and became a fan myself.  Coop seemed to like musicians with gruff voices.  Kind of like Coop himself.  I knew The Eagles cover of this song before this version.  Now I love them both.  Thanks, Coop.  For introducing me to the music of Tom Waits.  And for a lot more than that.
