he theme this week on My Lost Treasure is songs with happy, joy, glad in the title. We are doing this theme in honor of The Dutchess County Fair, which is running through tomorrow, Aug. 28.  Fair week is always a happy time, and that is why I chose this theme.

We have another oldie for today's treasure.  But it is a good one.  I once read that Three Dog Night almost rejected this song, which was written by Hoyt Axton.  It is a good thing that they reconsidered because it became a number one hit for them.  And as a kid, I remember it being on the radio constantly.  It may be silly, but it's fun to sing along to.

Boris and I will be at the Dutchess County Fair all day today, starting at 11 am raising money for a great charity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand.  It is a charity that helps kids battling cancer.  Boris and I will each be set up at out little lemonade stands competing to raise the most money.  So, if you are coming to the fair, please stop by and make a donation.  See you there later today.
