My Lost Treasure: The Turtles

Today is the last day of the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck, and that means it is the last day of our current theme.  Songs with happy, joy, and glad in the title.  Today is a happy song.

This was one of everybody's favorite songs back in the day.  It was a huge hit for The Turtles.  I actually got to see The Turtles, or maybe it was just Flo and Eddie (the main force behind The Turtles).  It was only a few years ago at one of the Hippie Fests at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.  All of the bands were great, and Flo and Eddie not only put on a n awesome musical performance, but they were funny and personable.  And they did today's lost treasure.  The audience loved it.

Tomorrow we kick off our new theme on My Lost Treasure.  A while back, Steve from Hurleyville suggested weather related songs.  We are going with it.  There are lots of them.  What's your favorite weather related song?  Let me know and I will play it. Thanks!
