My Lost Treasure: The Temptations

Here's a song that brings me way back.  I knew it was long, but I didn't realize how long.  Today's lost treasure has a misheard (or misunderstood) lyric story to go with it.

Today's song is Papa Was A Rolling Stone.  One of the lines in the song is "all he left us was alone"  For years, I thought it was all he left us was a loan.  Like a bank loan.  I don't know when it hit me, but I was an adult by the time it did.  Either line works, I think.

In any case, enjoy the song, the memories, and the weekend.  Boris and I are off next week, but Meat Sandwich will be filling in.
