My Lost Treasure: The Kingsmen

The theme on My Lost Treasure right now is guys names.  I like to play the old ones on Sundays, because people seem to appreciate them more on Sunday.  I do not know why, but I have noticed that is the way it is.

Today's pick is a real oldie, but one that has stood the test of time.  And it doubles on on the guy name thing.  Even if it is the same name twice.  I was so young for this song that I had no idea there was any controversy, but apparently there was.  That happens when no one can understand the lyrics.  I guess they just assume they are dirty.  I don't remember any of that, but I do remember hearing the song on the radio, and later playing on an oldies station I worked for.  It is definitely a classic, and a great one at that.
